GSA sends Assam Colts on Dubai exposure trip

Online Staff/GUWAHATI, Nov 19: The Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) has sent a 20-member Assam Colts squad, comprising 16 U-19 players and four support staff, on an exposure trip to Dubai. The players were selected based on their performances in the last Bordoloi Trophy.
As part of the initiative to provide young footballers access to high-level training and international exposure, the squad will train at top facilities in Dubai and Sharjah and play two to three practice matches against leading academy teams.
GSA General Secretary Devajit Saikia said the association had earlier planned a training stint at Marbella FC in Spain but had to shift to Dubai after repeated visa denials. “This will be a new beginning for our youngsters,” he said.
